PacksMC (accessible at packsmc.com, hereinafter "we", "our", "us", or "the Platform") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what choices you have regarding your data when you access and use our Platform. By using PacksMC, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Your Minecraft Java Edition username and unique identifier (UUID), obtained through our account verification process
  • Display name, biography, and other optional profile information you choose to provide
  • Profile picture and banner images you upload
  • Social media links and external URLs you choose to add to your profile

2.2 Usage and Interaction Data

As you interact with the Platform, we automatically collect:

  • Pages, features, and content you view or interact with
  • Texture packs you view, download, like, or add to collections
  • Search queries, filter preferences, and sorting choices
  • Community interactions such as joining, creating, or managing communities
  • Time spent on the Platform and navigation patterns
  • Clicks, scrolls, mouse movements, and other behavioral interaction data

2.3 Device and Technical Data

  • IP address and approximate geographic location derived from it
  • Browser type, version, and language settings
  • Operating system and device type
  • Screen resolution and viewport size
  • Referring URL (how you arrived at the Platform)
  • Unique device identifiers and session identifiers

2.4 Content You Create

  • Texture packs, resource packs, and associated metadata (descriptions, tags, screenshots) that you upload
  • Communities you create and their configuration settings
  • Collections you curate
  • Likes, follows, and other engagement actions

2.5 Payment Information

If you subscribe to Packs+ or Communities+, payment processing is handled securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive financial information. Stripe may share with us limited information such as the last four digits of your card, card type, expiration date, billing address, and transaction identifiers for the purpose of managing your subscription and providing customer support.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Platform and its features
  • To verify your Minecraft account and authenticate your identity
  • To process and manage subscriptions, transactions, and payments
  • To personalize your experience, including content recommendations and search results
  • To send you important service-related communications, such as account notifications, security alerts, and policy updates
  • To analyze usage patterns and trends to improve our services, optimize performance, and develop new features
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity, and to enforce our Terms of Service

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under the applicable minimum age without verified parental consent, we will take steps to promptly delete such information from our servers.

10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your personal data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries. We take appropriate measures to ensure that your data receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed, including through the use of standard contractual clauses and other approved transfer mechanisms where required.

11. DO NOT TRACK SIGNALS

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to websites. Due to the lack of a common industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, the Platform does not currently respond to DNT signals. We will continue to monitor developments around DNT browser technology and may update this policy accordingly.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors.
