Do I need any mods to use diffrent crosshair?
No - diffrent crosshair is a standard resource pack. Download the .zip here, place it in your resourcepacks folder (Options > Resource Packs > Open Pack Folder), and select it in-game. OptiFine or mods are optional, not required.
Can I use diffrent crosshair on Minecraft versions other than 1.21?
The upload targets Minecraft 1.21, and PacksMC's converter can generate builds for most other Java versions - pick the release you play in the download section and the file is prepared for you.
Is diffrent crosshair free to download?

Is diffrent crosshair demanding to run?
At 1024x, diffrent crosshair is sharper than vanilla and needs a bit more GPU memory. On most systems it runs fine; if you play on a low-end PC, try the preview first and consider a lower-resolution alternative from the similar packs below.
